If you love tiramisu, this is an ice cream recipe you must try!
Makes 1.5 quarts
1 can (8 oz.) mascarpone cheese
1 cup whole milk
1 Tbsp. Amaretto Liqueur
1/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1/3 cup brewed strong coffee
2oz semi-sweet chocolate
Ladyfingers cookies for serving(optional)
**Your Ice Cream maker bowl has to be in the freezer for at least 15 hours.
In a mixer mix together mascarpone cheese, milk, sugar, and salt until the mixture is smooth.
Transfer the mixture into an ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Make the coffee- let it cool, add Amaretto Liqueur and mix
Chop up the chocolate
In the last 5 minutes of ice cream mixing, pour the cold coffee mixture into the ice cream one tablespoon at a time.
Turn off the machine and transfer 1/3 of the ice cream to an airtight container, sprinkle with chopped chocolate, repeat layers until you finish the ice cream.
Place the ice cream in the freezer for another 4 hours, or until firm.
Sprinkle with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings before serving.
Serve with ladyfinger cookies. Enjoy!!!
